Custom Poster Template

First I want to apologize for the lack of content recently. I’ve been working on some personal things that hindered my ability to write content. However I’m back and would like to share something with all of you.

Poster art is something that is extremely appealing and desirable. The problem is some of us are unable to create one without banging our heads on the table. Now first and foremost, having someone who is a professional create one for you will most likely render the best results. However, some of us don’t have the money to pay someone to work on it for us.

I’ve created a Photoshop template to help ease the trouble for those of us who have to create these ourselves. When you download the zip file and extract it, make sure you install the fonts first.

When you’re in production either mark your favorite shot or take a picture that conveys what you intend to convey. Simply replace the background picture with yours, edit the text, and finally add some of your own customization. I often color grade the background picture inside Photoshop. Here are some examples of work I did using the template.

Just for my readers I want to reveal the next short film I will be working on called 11:11. Written and will be directed by myself, here is the concept poster I created. I have matured in regards to poster creation by working all several other posters. Here you can see I worked on making it more dynamic and explosive.
